On such a gloomy evening I thought I’d share something bright and sunny to cheer you all up!
I’ve met some lovely people through the photography industry, made some great friends and been helped beyond my highest expectations! It really is amazing how generous people can be with their knowledge and help. But it’s also nice to give a little back, which can be hard when the people that have helped you have years more experience and knowledge than you.
I’ve worked with Geoff as a 2nd photographer at a couple of his weddings and he’s been very generous with hints and tips on how to improve my photographs and business. Offering to take photographs of his lovely new family might not seem like a big thing but us photography folks aren’t always that great at being in photo’s ourselves. When he and Steph said they’d love me too I was so chuffed!! and of course then I started to panic a little, photographing another photographer is always a little nerve racking (well for me anyway), no pressure and all that!
Worrying was SO daft! We had a ball, I like to take a range of shots on a portrait session, at home and out and about. Sia is quite obviously used to the camera but was still a little wary of me having never met me before so starting at home was perfect to put her at ease. It really didn’t take her long to get her pose on. We were blessed with golden autumnal light and we made the most of all those lovely, crunchy leaves.
Thanks Geoff & Steph, it was a lovely afternoon and I hope you enjoy the images for years to come.
