Jo and Steve got married in September in the Star and Garter in Putney.  This venue offered something that I had never seen before and I found quite hard to keep away from…..a Cheese Room!!! Yes a whole room just for cheese.  It has glass walls so you can see in and is refrigerated so that the cheese stays at exactly the right temperature!!!  Awesome!!!  Anyway I digress.

Jo & Steve’s wedding was fairly small with only about 60 guests and I was stunned at how much time and thought their friends and family had put into all the details of the day, many of which were surprises for Jo & Steve.  The heart shaped balloons were filled with helium and guests were given wish cards on which they could write messages. Unfortunately it was a little bit windy and the balloons that didn’t get stuck in the trees disappeared into the atmosphere at about 100 miles per hour.  The tables were decorated with chocolate bars (the wrappers were printed with pictures of Jo & Steve when they were kids), homemade fortune cookies and Jo & Steve had their own personal crowns!

To top it all off friends and family had made them a wedding newspaper and a cookbook filled with photos and messages. Oh and did I mention the sparklers and the homemade cupcakes?

It was a brilliant day, and I was so engrossed in the proceedings I nearly missed the last train home
