WEDDING INFORMATION
As a Buckinghamshire Wedding Photographer, I am in easy reach the majority of the country and I will happily travel the length and breadth of the country to capture weddings.
Photographing weddings is about telling a story, your story. That story includes many things, your family, your friends, the church, the venue and all the details that you have worked hard on to make your day personal to you. As all those things are integral parts of your wedding story I will be there to capture them all, from the excited anticipation of getting ready to the hushed silence of the exchange of rings through to the dancing.
Whatever you have decided to do for you big day I’d love to photograph it!
My Photographic Style
Descriptions of photographic style can become a little confused especially if you are not actually a photographer yourself. I describe my style as stylish, contemporary, documentary photography but just in case you’re still wondering exactly what I mean by that here is a more detailed explanation. It is not my job to manipulate events on your day; it is my job to capture things as they happen with the minimal amount of fuss or intrusion. So for the majority of the day I capture documentary photographs, the interaction between you, your family and your friends, love, laughter and in some cases hard core partying. I am not a purely documentary photographer though as I also like to include some relaxed posed portraits and a small selection of group shots alongside all the little details like your dress, flowers, jewellery and decorations. The best thing to do is take a look at my photographs. There are lots of examples on my BLOG and in my PORTFOLIO.
“You were brilliant to deal with during the whole process and this is reflected in the shots of the day, which we are absolutely chuffed to pieces with. We’ve a fabulous record of the day which really helps to magnify our recollection of the day and the book and slideshow are amazing!”
It is my personal preference and a defining quality of my style to work predominantly with natural light. I made the decision to work in this way for a couple of reasons. Firstly I love the aesthetics of natural light photographs and the effects that are achieved with lenses that can operate in very low light. Secondly not using flash, unless it’s so dark I am forced to, means that you and your guests will be far less conscious of the fact that I am taking photos at all. Both Sorcha & Gary’s and Emma & Justin’s weddings were shot in very low light conditions.
