Last summer I was lucky enough to work as a 2nd photographer for the amazing Sharron Gibson on this absolutely stunning neon wedding. I started with the boys in the morning who looked very stylish in their bright yellow ties and grey suits, the groom complimenting them perfectly in his bright blue suit. I got a hint of the theme for the rest of the day from their striking button holes which included orange roses and neon pink feathers, so different and so much fun.
When we arrived at the venue, a manor house set in beautiful English countryside, there were finishing touches to put to the outdoor ceremony space. The boys did a greet job of adding huge handmade pom poms in neon colours to the gazebo under which the wedding ceremony would take place. They also decorated the gold chairs with little jars of brightly coloured flowers and ribbons. The overall effect was so pretty, the bright colours popping out of the perfectly manicured garden.
As guests started to arrive the excitement started to grow. The flower girls arrived in pretty gold dresses with gold lace detail all finished off with gorgeous flower head bands and wands decorated with flowers and feathers. They were having so much fun running around with all the guests who were adding to the explosion of colour, wearing every colour under the rainbow themselves!
I love an outdoor wedding ceremony but this day was exceptional, the sun shne down adding extra sparkle to bridesmaids mismatched gold sequinned dresses. The bride entered with her father, she looked stunning in her white sequinned and beaded, figure hugging dress. As she turned on to the red carpet her veil blow out behind her, it was all very magical.
The colour and sparkle continued throughout the day with simple little details like champagne served from gold bottles. Water bottles were handed out, to keep everyone hydrated and served a dual purpose as they had the ‘Order of the day’ tied to them. The wedding breakfast was held in a bright and airy marquee and the place names were Pantone colour cards. Everything looked so elegant and stylish! But that’s enough from me, I couldn’t have enjoyed myself more working with Sharron on this beautifully bright wedding as you might be able to tell from the number of images!!! Enjoy 🙂
