Weddings at Stoke Park - 001

Louisa & David’s wedding was the last wedding of the year for me and what the perfect end to a crazy year it was.  They choose to have an intimate wedding of just close family at Stoke Park in Buckinghamshire.  It was a bitterly cold day outside but you’d never have known as the sumptuous rooms were warmed by log fires and their guests warmed by mulled wine.  Their ceremony was followed by a wonderful meal and then they were joined by their evening guests to dance the night away.

Here are a few of my favourites from their day with more to follow I’m sure 🙂  Congratulations Louisa & David!

I’d love to photograph more weddings at Stoke Park so if you’re planning a Stoke Park wedding please get in touch I’d love to hear more about your day.

Village Hall Weddings - 001

Tom & Lynsey had a wonderfully wintery wedding.  From the huge Christmas tree that decorated St Michael’s Church in Chenies, Buckinghamshire to their unusual table decorations of white trees decorated with hand painted fir cones, some all the way from their home town in New Zealand, there was a little bit of sparkle in every part of their day!

Hastoe Village Hall was the perfect location for their reception with it’s high ceilings and white washed walls it perfectly complimented the winter wonderland theme.  Organising a wedding from abroad is never an easy feat but when you have so much help from family and friends it helps a great deal and Tom & Lynsey’s families really did an amazing job helping with the cake, table decorations and flowers.

Here are a few of my favourites from their day which was as fun filled and relaxed as they hoped it would be.  Congratulations guys, it was a real pleasure to capture your day for you!

Great Fosters Wedding - 0001

On a lovely, sparkly, frosty morning in November Lucy & Dom were married at Great Fosters in Surrey.  A Great Fosters wedding always promises to be a feast for the eyes as you couldn’t ask for a more beautiful setting but on this morning it surpassed expectation!

I was given an in sight into Lucy and Dom’s playful nature when I received their ‘save the date card’ which  you can see with their engagement photo’s.  The save the date card was pretty impressive but the invitation was AWESOME!!! An actual book with an illustrated cover and full details of the wedding inside and to top it off the back of the book was like one of those secret books for hiding things in with a little compartment for the R.S.V.P.  so much fun!!!  Dom made their table plan which was all their favourite books strung onto wires with the guests names on the back and their favours were baby Christmas trees for all their guests to take home and plant.

Despite all these funky little details what I loved about these guys the most is that is was very clear how much they were in love and all they really wanted to do was share this with their friends and family and they did that in real style.

There were so many great moments that I was able to document for them such as Lucy and her Dad practicing walking up the aisle when getting ready (and having a little impromptu dance).  The excitement of Dom arriving in the Porsche that Lucy had booked as a surprise for him.  Everyone of their guests singing ‘It must be love’ by Madness at the end of the wedding ceremony and of course the flash mob ‘Gangnam Style’ dance!!

Congratulations Mr and Mrs George. I wish you an amazing life together!

P.S. If you want a great live band at your wedding then look no further than ‘The Redfords’.

Gary & Sorcha - 0002 Great Fosters is a beautiful location for any wedding but the day Gary and Sorcha got married it looked even prettier with its dusting of snow. The details at Great Fosters are stunning from the dark wood panelling to the embossed leather ceilings and it was easy to forgot how cold it was outside with the open fires keeping everybody warm

Sorcha looked incredible.  Her dress had a delicate, floaty top layer with embroidered details on the underdress and belt.  She completed her look with a diamanté hair clip and white faux fur shrug.  I met Sorcha and her bridesmaids as they were getting their hair and makeup done (and enjoying a nice chilled bottle of bubbly of course!) before moving to the Queen Anne suite to get into her dress, which might have been a problem had hotel staff not come running after us with the dress, whoops, luckily they were there to check nothing had been left behind.

All the flowers, including the bouquets, ceremony decorations and candelabra table decorations were created by one of Gary & Sorcha’s friends who was working untill ‘silly o’clock’ in the morning to get everything finished.  She did an amazing job as all the rooms looked amazing.

Congratulations guys, it was an amazing day and I wish you all the best in your future together!

“You were brilliant to deal with during the whole process and this is reflected in the shots of the day, which we are absolutely chuffed to pieces with.  We’ve a fabulous record of the day which really helps to magnify our recollection of the day and the book and slideshow are amazing!” Gary & Sorcha
